WINE ESTATE

  • After having left Château Cadillac in 1701, Antoine Laumet, Sieur de la Motte Cadillac, founded the city of Detroit, Michigan, and claimed it on behalf of King Louis XIV. It is his descendants who gave the name of Cadillac to the famous car brand. Since he took it over in 1991, Jean Jacques Lesgourgues, owner of the prestigious Laubade Armagnac, has completely transformed this estate and, as a patron of the arts, has turned it into a contemporary art exhibition. The 130 acres property dates back to the 16th century and includes and produces 20,000 cases per year.

 SOIL

  • Light and sandy soils on limestone bedrock.
