Les Croses AOC Crozes-Hermitage
Blending: 100% Syrah Wine-making process: Traditional wine-making process with total de-stemming of the harvest. Long maceration for 3 to 4 weeks. Control of the temperature. 12 months aging in oak barrels and bottled several months. Tasting Notes: This wine has a beautiful velvet color. Its nose releases from the blackcurrant flavours of strong intensity, with notes of violet, pepper, liquorice and black olives. Harmonious in mouth, with well melted tanins. Wine to be served at 15°C with elegant ad simple cooking, in particular with the tapenade, poultries, the duck with olives, red meats and roasted sausages, soft cheeses and spotted.
Soil: The appellation runs over eleven communes in a triangle formed by the hill from Silvering the Hermitage, the Rhone River and Isere River. The selection is made in a vineyard of 25 years old vineyard which is located in the plain at the foot of the hill. The soil is made of granitic minerals and quaternary alluvia of the Isere (more or less gravelly clay soils). Vines led in cord of Royat.
