Casa Vinicola Botter s.p.a. was founded by Carlo Botter in 1928. Today it is managed by the family’s third generation.
The grapes are grown in the quality provinces of Siena, Florence, Pisa, Pistoia, Arezzo: the heart of the Chianti area. Limestone, clay (subsoil). Chalk, clay and pebbles (surface).
Grapes: Sangiovese 85% minimum Other typical Tuscan varieties 15% (Canaiolo, Malvasia del Chianti)
Vinification: Cold prefermentation during 8 days. Temperatured controlled (18 °C) in stainless steel vats.
Food Pairing: Very versatile, excellent with salted pork meats, cheese, pasta dishes, white and read meats.
Tasting Notes: Ruby red colour, intensely vinous bouquet with a fragrance of violet. Harmonious, dry, sapid flavour , slightly tannic. Bright and intense ruby red colour with garnet hints. This wine has a fresh bouquet, dry, pleasant and vinous. SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16-18° C. CELLARING: 2-4 years
