Champagne Vranken Diamant Brut (91WS)
A rich and smoky base note of roasted hazelnut supports flavors of apple tarte Tatin, sous-bois, lemon curd and crystallized honey in this soft and creamy version, balanced by citrusy acidity.
A blend composed of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir. The nose opens with a wonderful mixture of lemon custard, coconut, toast, brioche and crème brûlée. On the palate, we get lots of citrus and stones, with a nice bright acidity. The finish brings us marzipan and a touch of lemon pith.
An exclusive, dynamic family group founded in 1976, and driven by a taste for quality and innovation, they are now the number one land owner in Europe. Shortly after acquiring Heidsieck Monopole & Co, The group decided to separate the Diamant line from the 4th oldest Champagne house in the world and make it a brand on its own, due to the exceptional quality of the wines.
