Built in 1890, the Distillery GRALLET DUPIC is nestled in the small village of ROZELIEURES in Lorraine, France. Situated at the bottom slope of an ancient volcano, rawing high quality water from the source of the Vosges mountains, land of premium malt barley and famous for their eau de vie, G. ROZELIEURES is the only 100% Single Malt French. Their whisky allies finesse and character, highlighting the potential of the terroir of Lorraine. The distileery is located in front of Essey La Cote Volcano.
Malt variety: Sebastien, Etincel, Esterel
Soil: Clay and limestone, which offer a quality malt.
Distillation and aging: It is double distilled and matured at Rozelieures, France in 100% sherry casks. Strong smoked peaty flavors, cereals.
Tasting notes: Very aromatic and rich with coconuts, cigar notes. With beautiful final note, woody taste perfectly combined with the Fino’s over-matured cereal and fruits, lightly mineral. A great single malt whisky for “conoisseurs”.
Food pairing: Excellent to drink with meat or fish, in aperitif or after lunch.
