The Roccafiore Winery is a winemaking company situated in the Todi area, in Umbria, and it was launched in the year 2000 in the context of an innovative business idea which included a countryside Resort with an attached wellness centre and restaurant. Besides the tourism plans, there is also the Farm with its 90 hectares entirely dedicated to growing organic crops. Wine production is included in this context with the added value of organic certification.
Prestigious wines are produced with the advice of winemaker Hartmann Donà who, following the oenological traditions of Umbria, decided to cultivate native wine varieties.
New vineyards of native grapes such as Grechetto di Todi, Trebbiano Spoletino, Sangiovese, Sagrantino and others, conversion to organic farming, micro-terracing on the sweet outline of the hills where the vineyards are placed. And then the winery: A modern building equipped with the best technology for the wine-making process and quality control. From then the mission of Roccafiore was the pursuit of excellence.
The wines are all organic (EU certified) and are strictly obtained from local varietals: Grechetto di Todi, Trebbiano Spoletino, Sangiovese, Sagrantino and Montepulciano.
